Hi Bently
I tried your potato box and I did not put any worms in only mulched horse manure and in 2 weeks the potatoes have sprouted. I have covered them with cane mulch and they seem to be doing o.k .
In reference to you finding worms in your manure only bucket.
I put my horse manure through a mulcher so it is very fine. We had a good storm the other night and when I went to use this fine manure I found a lot of worms down the bottom of the pile.
My worm bins are not even close to the pile ,so I dont know where they came from , but bring it on . regards Nifty

Wow, Bentley, that potato DOES look like a heart!!! I'm really impressed with your bean poles and boxes...excellent idea!

I also made a potato tower this year....haven't checked yet whether any potatoes came of it...I'll let you know. It was a difficult growing season, very cool temps in WI, and I don't have alot of sun in my yard to begin with. Oh well, better luck next year, right?
