There is a huge difference between stagnant soaking wet conditions and those with a flow. Worms absolutely LOVE wet conditions if it remains fairly aerobic. A filtration bed with downward flow and drainage would provide that for sure, even with only periodic pump activity. Same sort of idea as in aquaponics and &quot;vermiponics&quot; beds - also very wet environments the worms thrive in because of the flow (draws oxygen into bed and flushes things out).  I would be interesting to measure different parts of the bed though - and also to monitor where most of the worms are hanging out at different times (my hunch is that a large concentration of them would be close to the top much of the time).]]></description>

I would like to know how much time pumps are spraying water over worm bed. acording my experience worms are not confortable with lots of water not for say .... they could dye if  too much time in anaerobic conditions]]></description>
