Hey Mike - what I have found with composting sheets, old clothes etc is that a lot of it breaks down eventually, but that very commonly there are still threads (sometimes a lot) left behind. Perhaps it is a synthetic component, not really sure - but yeah these can end up trapping the worms, so not an ideal scenario. If you haven't been adding any sort of fabric I'm not really sure where your threads would have come from - maybe some sort of resistant fiber associated with a type of food you've been adding?

Hi Claire
They seem to work well, but I suspect they will take a lot longer to breakdown than cardboard. I am also a little worried about all the threads - hope they don't get tangled around the worms.
