Garden Pool Food Production System

I just LOVE when people take food production into their own hands – especially using “outside the box” ideas like this!
No mention of vermicomposting – but WE all know they (composting worms) could easily be incorporated into the mix, don’t we?
😉

    That is so cool.
I can see myself getting called to come eat dinner if I had something like that to play in. Good head on their shoulders to come up with this.

  1. What a great way to reclaime wasted space.

  2. Black Soldier Flies are a huge part of the Garden Pool permaculture system. (link). I didn’t find any mention of worms in my quick look around.

Looks neat, but my first reaction is that the chicken waste-to fish to-food cycle could be bad for parasites or bacteria. I haven’t checked out the garden pool site, so maybe they deal with that in some way… I don’t know much about hydro ponics, but that would be my concern, even though I know that the algae is what is supposed to feed on the waste, not the fish.
