Larry “The Garbage Guru” Duke is at it again, and certainly seems to be giving me a run for my money in the ‘crazy worm composting antics’ department! (which is obviously why I think Larry is SO cool!!)

This is a video he posted on the vermicomposters forum, showing us how to make vermicomposting pizzas and hamburger patties! The pizza he created for his little experiment is definitely of the “deep dish” variety (haha) – quite the hefty slab of vermicomposting goodness!
I am definitely jealous of this pulpy cardboard material Larry has made – I just KNOW the worms are going to go crazy for it. I am definitely going to have to try to make something like this myself.
Thanks for the inspiration Larry, and for just plain being YOU!
Keep up the great work!
Can’t wait to see what happens with your pizza!

Very nice Larry. That helps this beginner think of ways of amuzing myself with all the egg crates I have. Thank you.
Very interesting…Maybe a little yellow squash added to make it look like a cheeseburger…Some julienne cut potatoes for “fries”?
I’m sure some fellow worm heads out there are gonna have some fun with this whole idea.
C’mon all you worm buddies, get your creative hats on.
Thanks Larry & Bentley…Never a dull moment around here;)
John-The pizza branched off from one i did with a tortilla.I made a soft taco and was impressed. My worms love them.I like the ideas you have with the veggies.Next time i’m gonna make what looks like a plate of food, then time lapse the plate and see what they go for first!
But on a serious note. If you make a ball with ground food in the paper, including banana skin, hay, watermelon, etc.,you can find large masses of babies in the ball. Then you can remove the ball and put it in something else,if desired.I just like checking out how many babies are inside!
