I decided to extent the deadline for vermi-humor entries until Tuesday November 20th (2012) at midnight EST. I’ve received lots of good ones so far, but I’d definitely like to see more people make an effort.
If you are looking for ideas, here are a few:
1) Come up with a variation of my “_______________ Tries Vermicomposting” cartoons. No need to draw the actual cartoon – just tell me the person/character and what they are saying and/or doing.
I think this one is pretty easy since there are so many celebrities and popular characters with well known quotes, traits etc.
2) Come up with your own “Why did the worm cross the road?” or vermi-knock-knock joke.
3) Convert a well-known song to a vermicomposting/worm song (have had some good ones submitted already)
You are welcome to submit as many jokes etc as you like. I will simply select the one I personally think is the funniest and that will serve as your entry.
The winner gets a Worm Factory 360 (generously donated by Nature’s Footprint) + 1 lb of Red Worms (generously donated by yours truly! lol). 2nd place get’s my new vermicomposting course (out in less than 2 weeks). 3rd place gets the VermBin plans package (or the new course if they are already a member).
Again, you DO need to be on the Vermivember Email List in order to qualify, so make sure you follow that link and get signed up if you’re not already on it. After Tuesday access to the contest list will disappear (since the main “Spreading the Worm” contest ends next Monday).
Have fun!

[UPDATE: The Vermi-Humor Challenge has ended. Public access to the Vermivember e-mail list is no longer available. Feel free to drop me a line if you still want to get on the list and/or learn more about my upcoming course (to launch on Nov. 30, 2012)]

two”
Yepper – got ’em and sent you a reply! Thanks!
Looks like good ol’ Jack inspired a couple of you to come up with jokes based on “A Few Good Men”! lol
Not a joke but still funny enough to share.. My 2.5 yr old daughter tells me I’m wrong when I correct her singing “… Up above the worms so high…”
“no honey, it’s WORLD so high…”
“whatever, mom, I like worms.”
@Alyssa
Lmao! Cute! My kids are always singing songs off the radio without understanding the lyrics! Got whip lash a few times hearing some of those lyrics! 😀
